Quilting Bee for Quilts - 4 - Kids

What’s this project about? It is about making Quilts as gifts for the kids of Amelia House, a Safe House sponsored by the Sisters of Divine Providence in Clarion County; and for families affected by Hurricane Katrina who come to Pittsburgh. The goal is to make 50 quilts, some crib quilts but mostly twin bed quilts. This takes time so we are starting early.

What has been done so far? Over 45 quilts, (tops, batting and bottoms) are ready to be sewn.

What do we need? We need your help knotting the layers together.
When? Mondays and Tuesdays from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM; Join us for a half hour shift over your lunch hour. If these times aren’t convenient, contact Sr. Marilyn and arrange another time.

Where? Campus Ministry/Community Service Office, SC 109. Don’t worry if you’ve never quilted . . . an experienced quilter will show you what to do. Two to four people can work on a quilt at a time.
